Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in the United States is seeking an Assistant Manager in training to support store operations, sales, and appearance. The role focuses on developing leadership skills for future store management and may involve scheduling, customer service, and training duties.

Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of automotive parts, and will pursue the company’s Assistant Manager Certification and Manager Development Program. Bilingual abilities are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the professional and retail operations of store and team members involved.
• All delivery and installer service specialists supervision.
• Retail: manage parts and merchandising specialists; supervise all team members.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, evaluating, promoting, and disciplining staff.
• Communicate information from meetings to all team members and train new hires.
• Handle performance evaluations and salary adjustments for staff.
• Assist in hiring processes and ensure qualified selections.
• Support safety training and scheduling, payroll, and system usage.
• Monitor store operations, KPI dashboards, and P&L discussions.
