Job summary

BoxLunch & Hot Topic is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Manager to help lead the loudest store in the mall. You’ll support the Store Manager in achieving store objectives, driving sales, and developing your team.

You’ll recruit, develop, and retain a passionate team, promote new products, and engage customers through promotions, social media, and services like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Leadership in operations and customer-first selling will be essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail store management experience
• Strong communication, recruiting, operations, and mentoring abilities
• Excellent time management and leadership skills
• Comfortable with a fast-changing retail environment
• Able to manage payroll, scheduling, and merchandising tasks
• Passion for music and pop culture is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in hitting sales plans and comp goals
• Recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative team to run the store
• Promote products and promotions to engage customers (BOPIS, curbside)
• Provide leadership for operational excellence and customer-first selling
• Monitor shrink, payroll hours, and associate schedules
• Communicate trends and feedback to retail leadership and HQ
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy to hit targets
• Merchandise the store using planograms and timely promotions
• Develop a high-performing, customer-focused team with the Store Manager
