Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager responsible for all store operations, staffing, and daily processes to deliver exceptional customer service and profitability.

You will train and lead employees, manage ordering, receiving and stocking, and ensure safety, policy adherence, and loss prevention across the store. Strong leadership and communication are required to drive team performance.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting documents, safety rules and procedures.
• Basic math including percentages for pricing and inventory.
• Know cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash registers and generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and termination practices.
• Familiarity with cash, safety and loss-prevention policies.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to solve problems in varied situations; bilingual Spanish preferred at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and execution of store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation and staffing.
• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees; provide training and conduct performance evaluations.
• Set pay and advancement recommendations; communicate performance and safety expectations.
• Ensure proper staffing and daily opening/closing of the store; manage scheduling.
