Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Preference for bilingual Spanish speakers may apply at certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per federal/state laws and policies; ensure store staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, identify gaps and counsel up to termination.
• Recommend pay rate and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Open and close the store regularly as required.
• Analyze operating statements for sales, profitability and inventory trends.
• Manage ordering to meet in-stock targets and review plans weekly.
• Ensure proper merchandising, pricing and signage; maintain inventory controls.
• Maintain cashier accountability and store security procedures.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and maintain a clean, safe store.
