Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store leadership professional to manage employees, staffing, and store processes at our Columbia, SC location. You will oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, and staff support.

You will recruit, train, and evaluate employees, address gaps, and ensure compliance with safety and labor policies. The role requires strong leadership and hands-on store management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, address gaps with coaching or termination as needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; lead meetings.
• Open/close the store at least twice weekly.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends and opportunities for expense control.
