Job summary

Dollar General in Wyoming seeks an experienced Store Manager to oversee all aspects of store operations, staffing, merchandising and customer service. You will plan and implement ordering, receiving, stocking, and selling processes while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.

Responsibilities include recruiting and training employees, evaluating performance, managing schedules, guarding cash controls, and driving sales growth through effective merchandising and inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• One year of management experience in retail (preferred).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory management.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees per laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling.
• M akes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security and policies.
• Ensures that the store is adequately staffed and opened/closed as required.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends, expenses and shrink opportunities.
• Orders to meet in-stock targets; reviews ordering plan and inventory issues weekly.
• Facilitates stocking and merchandising following Company processes.
• Maintains merchandise presentation, pricing and signage per standards.
• Maintains accurate inventory and cash control procedures.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership and a clean, safe store environment.
