Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, and retain qualified employees; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; address gaps or counseling as needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rates and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Ensure store opens and closes daily; manage staffing schedule for multiple openings/closings.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify sales, profitability, and turn trends.
• Oversee stock replenishment and weekly inventory planning; address issues.
• Ensure merchandising presentation, pricing and signage meet standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory by controlling damages, markdowns, and scans.
• Maintain cash control, cashier accountability, and security practices.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and a safe store environment.
• Ensure tools and resources are available to perform tasks; follow SOPs and deadlines.
