Job summary

Responsibilities include staffing, performance evaluations, safety and policy adherence, and ensuring accurate inventory and cash controls across daily cycles and all opening/closing duties.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret diagrams, safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math and percentage calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures, cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register to generate reports.
• Familiarity with inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to manage staff.
• Knowledge of recruitment, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and staff the store.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and address gaps or coaching.
• Advise on pay rate and advancement decisions.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; lead meetings.
• Open and close the store at required times.
• Evaluate operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Manage ordering, stock replenishment, and inventory checks.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, pricing and signage standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory and cash controls.
• Provide customer service leadership and a clean, safe store environment.
