• Familiarity with cash, safety controls and store security policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing levels to ensure the store is properly staffed.
• Provide training and conduct performance evaluations; address gaps and counseling needs.
• Recommend pay rates and advancement for employees.
• Communicate expectations and enforce safety policies; coordinate meetings.
• Open and close the store reliably each day.
• Evaluate operating statements for sales and profitability trends; monitor expenses and shrink.
• Manage ordering and inventory to meet in-stock targets and cycle counts.
• Maintain presentation standards and proper pricing/signage of merchandise.
• Ensure cashier accountability and cash control procedures.
• Lead customer service efforts and maintain a safe, well-organized store.
