Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposits.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to train and coach staff.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices.
• Familiarity with safety, security and loss prevention policies.
• Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and address performance gaps.
• Recommend pay rates and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate expectations and coordinate safety meetings.
• Open and close the store as required.
• Analyze operating statements for sales, profitability, and turn.
• Manage ordering and inventories to meet in-stock targets.
• Oversee stocking, merchandising, pricing and signage.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages, markdowns, and shrink.
• Ensure cashier accountability and store security.
• Deliver superior customer service leadership and a safe store environment.
• Ensure policies, SOPs, and paperwork are completed timely.
