Dollar General Corporation seeks an experienced Store Manager to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer service. You will recruit, train, and supervise staff, control inventory, and enforce policies to protect store assets.

This role requires strong leadership, cash handling accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. You’ll collaborate with corporate guidance and maintain a safe, clean shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules and manuals.
• Strong numerical skills for calculations and inventory control.
• Cash handling knowledge including deposits and reporting.
• Experience with cash registers and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Recruiting, interviewing and employment practices knowledge including compliance.
• Familiarity with safety and cash control policies.

Responsabilités

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling, up to and including termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security and policies.
• Ensures that the store is appropriately staffed and effectively opened and closed each day.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends (including sales, profitability, and turn), expense control opportunities, potential shrink, and errors.
• Orders to ensure the meeting or exceeding of in-stock targets; reviews ordering plan and inventory management issues weekly.
• Facilitates the efficient staging, stocking and storage of merchandise by following defined Company work processes.
• Ensures that all merchandise is presented according to established practices; utilize fixtures, pricing and signage.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning and paperwork.
• Ensures the financial integrity of the store through cashier accountability, key control, and security practices.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Maintains a clean, well-organized store; ensures a safe and secure working and shopping environment.
• Ensures store is equipped with tools necessary to perform tasks.
• Follows Company policies and completes paperwork and deadlines.
