Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Experience leading store operations and staff in a retail setting.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and loss prevention practices.
• Ability to interpret sales reports and manage inventory effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training, evaluate performance, and counsel staff as needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rates and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance expectations and conduct regular meetings on safety and policies.
• Open and close the store, ensuring security and proper procedures.
• Monitor sales, expenses, and inventory to identify trends and opportunities.
• Ensure merchandise is presented according to company standards and pricing.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and protect cash controls.
