Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices.
• Ability to recruit, interview, hire, and train staff in compliance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per laws and policies; ensure staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and counsel staff; terminate if needed.
• Set pay rate recommendations and advance eligible staff.
• Communicate performance expectations and safety policies; run meetings.
• Open and close store daily; ensure proper staffing and security.
• Manage operating statements, inventory targets, ordering and replenishment.
• Staging, stocking, and presentation of merchandise; maintain pricing and signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory; control damages, markdowns and cash via procedures.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash control.
