Job summary

Golf Galaxy is seeking a passionate, people-first store leader to oversee store operations in their area of the store. The Assistant Store Manager drives brand and operational excellence by ensuring our team delivers engaging customer service to all athletes who enter our stores.

The role prioritizes teammate coaching, development, and wellbeing while focusing on financial metrics, store performance, and short/long term planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of retail management experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly manages teammates assigned to the Front End, Freight and Operations and collaborates with other areas as Head Coach.
• Holds teammates accountable for meeting operational guidelines, brand standards, and customer service expectations.
• Ensures operations meet standards including Scan & Activate, SIM compliance, SFS/BOPIS fulfillment, and cash handling.
• Oversees back-office procedures: hiring flow, pre-hire paperwork, I-9 compliance, background checks and payroll changes.
• Drives the customer experience at the Front End through coaching and development of associates.
