Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks a Lead Sales Associate to support a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and maintain displays.

In the absence of the Store Manager, you serve in a lead capacity and perform additional duties as assigned. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and preferred supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Able to read and follow planogram guides.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic and percentages.
• Capable of cash register functions.
• Familiar with cash handling and deposit controls.
• May need to drive to the bank for deposits.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and greetings.
• Operate cash register, scan items, collect payments, and bag merchandise.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays and follow planograms.
• Clean the store, take out trash, and maintain restroom/storage areas.
• Open/close the store under direction of Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
