Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock and display merchandise, and help protect company assets.

The role includes leading in the Store Manager’s absence and performing duties as needed. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and experience with cash handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cash register and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment and give change.
• Receive, unpack, stock, rotate merchandise and build displays per planograms.
• Clean the store, take out trash, mop floors, clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager direction.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store/Assistant Manager.
