Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help supervise day-to-day store activities and ensure strong store performance. You will manage schedules, develop operational action plans, and identify training opportunities to grow the team.

The role emphasizes leadership, customer service, and adherence to company policies while supporting the store leader and maintaining high standards for merchandising, inventory, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
• Prior management experience preferred
• Ability to lead, train and develop staff

Responsibilities

• Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
• Establish clear job responsibilities and performance expectations for direct reports
• Identify training opportunities to improve team performance
• Promote ALDI core values and teamwork across the store
• Monitor the competitive environment and inform leadership of necessary adjustments
• Provide product feedback and recommendations for assortment decisions
• Participate in interviewing store personnel
• Communicate weekly updates, milestones, and concerns
• Ensure inventory procedures, product handling, and cash controls to minimize losses
• Resolve customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader
• Identify and rectify hazards; maintain equipment and safety standards
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage
• Assist with stock levels and product ordering
• Merchandise products neatly to maximize sales
• Ensure product quality, freshness, and accurate signage
• Support payroll, budget, and loss prevention targets
• Supervise daily team operations and escalate issues
• Ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities and high customer service quality
• Adhere to company policies and protect confidential information
• Perform other duties as assigned
