Job summary

Marshalls, part of The TJX Companies, Inc., is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Owings Mills to lead a diverse team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will supervise store operations, drive sales, manage expenses, and mentor associates to uphold a high‑energy, inclusive culture.

The role requires at least 2 years of retail leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coach a large team in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to influence and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by supporting sales results, managing expenses, and overseeing operations including merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping and receiving, with focus on shrink and damages.
• Attract, recruit, and develop Associates; provide training and ongoing development; mentor and model supportive environment for Associates and customers.
• Communicate and implement action plans for projects, targets, company initiatives, and store changes; input on succession planning for future needs.
• Implement strategies to meet sales, expense, and customer service targets; coordinate loss prevention and operational programs; improve store layout and efficiency.
