Job summary

Carter’s, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Store Manager at our Woodridge, IL location. You’ll be the first face of the brand for growing families, greet customers warmly, and showcase our baby essentials.

You’ll lead a welcoming, inclusive team, coach staff on service standards, and support sales growth across omnichannel channels. As a leader, you will help recruit, train, and develop the store team, analyze KPIs, and drive merchandising and promotional efforts.

Qualifications

• 1+ year retail or related management experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and explain product features and benefits.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Coach others to meet service standards and omnichannel experience.
• Assist the Store Manager with recruiting, hiring, training, and development of store team.
• Plan, track, analyze, and report completion of tasks and financial results using company tools.
• Partner with Store Manager on merchandising standards, promotions, and product placement.
• Reduce loss through consistent customer service and operational controls.
