J.Crew Group (JCG) in Massachusetts is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the leadership team. You will drive profitability through customer connections, brand loyalty, and strong store operations.

You will coach the sales team, oversee Visual Merchandising, HR, and service, recruit and train staff, and ensure best-in-class service while achieving sales goals in a collaborative, energetic store atmosphere. Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• When you’re an Assistant Manager you have 1–2 years of retail management experience with a similar scope.
• You passionately support our brand, customers, and teams.
• You stay up to date with current fashion trends and industry developments.
• You embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
• You innovate and champion new ideas while navigating uncertainty and solving problems.
• You have scheduling flexibility, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• You must bend, reach, stretch for product and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director and Associate Store Manager to directly impact business results and profitability.
• Own your division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist with recruiting, training and development as needed.
• Partner to create a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class customer service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to elevate customer connections.
• Develop innovative ways to engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Step into a variety of roles on the sales floor when needed.
