Job summary

Qualifications

• College graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Solid understanding of store operations required.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.

• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or will be required to attend company provided training and have the ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment; Accreditation must be maintained while employed in a position requiring accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Maximize all resources (physical, human, and financial) to achieve financial objectives and grow sales.
• Lead the implementation of store initiatives by setting standards, planning, and delegation.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and practices.
• Apply industry knowledge to improve competitive position.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with Guiding Principles and Values.
• Provide a safe, secure, and pleasant environment for customers and associates.
• Maintain control of store funds and assets.
• Foster a positive environment and community engagement.
• Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet talent needs.
• Recognize and coach associates to balance objectives and needs.
• Protect store information and maintain confidentiality.
• Reward accomplishments and provide constructive feedback to improve customer satisfaction and sales.
• Utilize company tools such as financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, CAO, and business information systems.
• Understand and manage Profit and Loss (P&L).
• Maintain action plans for underperforming staff and shrinking inventory; arrange training as needed.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet, and Training Aid courses.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned
