Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead store operations in Missouri. You will recruit, train, and manage staff, ensure excellent customer service, and drive inventory control and merchandising excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, and retain qualified employees per federal and state laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for solutions or counseling, up to termination.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Open and close the store reliably; open at least twice weekly and close at least twice weekly.
• Evaluate operating statements for trends in sales, profitability, turns, and expenses.
• Manage ordering and replenishment to meet stock targets; review weekly plans and cycle counts.
• Facilitate merchandise staging, stocking, and storage per company processes.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, pricing, and signage meet standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory through controls on damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Ensure store financial integrity through cash controls and security practices.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and maintain a safe, organized store.
• Ensure proper equipment and tools are available to perform tasks.
