Dollar General is seeking a store manager to oversee all aspects of store operations, including ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, staffing, and sales leadership. You will train staff, manage performance, and enforce company policies to ensure a safe and profitable store.

Key responsibilities include recruiting and retaining staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, and delivering excellent customer service while controlling costs and shrink.

Qualifications

• Must read/interpret diagrams, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math and percentage calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling, cashier accountability and deposits.
• Experience using IBM cash registers to generate reports.
• Understanding of inventory and merchandising practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Interpersonal skills for team leadership and customer service.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and termination practices.
• Familiarity with cash, facility and safety control policies.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Problem-solving across varied store scenarios; bilingual Spanish may be preferred.

Responsabilités

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per laws and policies; ensure staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Recommend employee pay and advancement opportunities.
• Clearly communicate expectations and coordinate safety and policy adherence.
• Open/close the store as required; maintain secure operations.
