Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience and satisfactory performance appraisals as an assistant store leader or in another position at the same pay level or above.
• Successful completion of the applicable divisions Leadership Essentials Program.
• Bachelor's Degree (desired).
• Experience overseeing financial responsibilities, including budget preparation and management (desired).
• 3+ years of retail experience (desired).
• 3+ years of experience as an assistant store leader (desired).
• Any supervisory experience (desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store teams in planning, implementing and executing merchandising and operation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities, develop timely solutions and action plans for implementation.
• Achieve/exceed weekly, period, and annual sales, revenue and profit budgets and other goals.
• Drive costs, shrink reduction and improve each department's contribution to profits.
• Discuss financial performance and budgets with leaders; ensure compliance with safety and policies.
• Understand competitive landscape and promote inclusive leadership.
• Collaborate with merchandising teams to execute division marketing plans.
• Build relationships with local community organizations and, if applicable, union officials.
• Communicate information to store associates and manage staffing, retention and turnover.
• Provide timely feedback on performance and manage labor and supply costs to meet targets.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and division policies.
