Job summary

Walmart in Meridian, MS is seeking an experienced general manager to lead the facility's operations and drive sales and profit. You will manage the budget, staffing, training, and customer service, while upholding Walmart values and the Open Door Policy.

The role requires leading merchandising, expense control, and associate development, with a focus on community engagement and safety compliance where applicable. A BS in Business Management and Leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4 years general management experience to include financial accountability.
• 4 years’ experience supervising 50 or more exempt and non-exempt associates/employees to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
• For facilities that sell firearms, CBC and training may be required where applicable.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations, merchandising, and customer service to meet company standards.
• Ensure compliance with Walmart policies and Open Door Policy.
