Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. in Hawaii seeks an Assistant Store Manager to supervise all areas of the store and support the Store Manager in delivering company standards and merchandising. You will lead operations, coaching, and daily tasks to create a positive, efficient shopping environment.

The role requires at least two years’ retail store or assistant store management experience, fluency in English, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Strong leadership and customer focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, give direction and follow through to completion.
• Ability to set priorities and exercise independent judgment.
• Maintain high quality of Customer service.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead all store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing non-exempt Associates.
• Control payroll hours within budget and manage payroll processes.
• Ensure scheduling of Associates to meet business objectives.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment and lead monthly safety meetings.
• Ensure compliance with state, local and federal regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service at registers and service desks.
• Represent and uphold the Ross brand and dress standards.
