Job summary

Shoe Station is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Fayetteville, NC to oversee daily store operations, lead by example, and nurture a customer-first environment. This full-time role acts as a key holder and supports the General Manager in achieving sales goals.

You will train associates, manage tasks, assist with merchandising, and ensure cash handling procedures are followed, with a focus on loss prevention and excellent service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail or customer service experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain Key Carrier Certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as a key holder
• Support the General Manager in reaching sales goals
• Lead customer service efforts and resolve issues professionally
• Train and guide associates on processes and standards
• Delegate daily tasks and coordinate breaks
• Assist with visual merchandising and store presentation
• Perform register overrides, safe/till counts, and cash reconciliation
• Follow and promote loss prevention procedures
