Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help lead a clean, customer-first store and support the Store Manager with supervision and merchandising.

The role involves cashiering, stocking, deposits, and ensuring profitability while safeguarding assets. Successful candidates will have strong customer service, organizational, and leadership skills and be able to work multiple shifts, including two days/week open/close.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Six months supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership at the register and on the floor.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, and safety meetings.
• Stock, price, rotate merchandise, and build displays per planograms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, control damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Ensure cashier accuracy, deposits, and cash control procedures.
