Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, customer-first store and supervise staff under the Store Manager's direction. You will assist with merchandising, deposits, and store security while optimizing profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, planogram implementation, cash handling, and appearing at management meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking and displays.
