Dollar General Corporation in Creston, IA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, customer‑focused store and support the Store Manager with supervision, merchandising, and deposits. This role includes stocking, cashiering, and safeguarding assets while driving profitability.

The ideal candidate has at least a year in retail, supervisory exposure, strong communication, and solid math and cash-handling skills.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 1 year in retail and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong math and cash handling skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide superior customer service leadership; operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise receiving, stocking, and displays.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, and paperwork.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms; present merchandise per established practices.
• Assist in ensuring cashier accountability, cash controls, and deposits; count tills and deposit money.
• Assist with store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
