Dollar General in Iowa is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading daily store operations. The role focuses on customer service, cashiering, merchandising, scheduling, training, and safety compliance to maximize profitability and assets protection.

The position involves supervising employees, maintaining inventory accuracy, executing planograms, and ensuring proper cash controls.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate the cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise via receiving, stocking, restocking, and displays.
• Help maintain inventory accuracy and control damages and markdowns.
• Assist with planograms and merchandise presentation.
• Support cash handling integrity, refunds approvals, and deposits.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
