Job summary

Lids Sports Group in Orange, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and drive sales while maintaining loss prevention.

You will train staff, schedule shifts, and execute merchandising with a focus on the Lids brand standards. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a passion for sports and fashion.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to drive sales while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc., when Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through LIDS Training Programs, goal setting, and regular follow up.
• Administer discipline through verbal and written warnings in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Engage team members by creating a fun and productive environment and aligning with company objectives.
• Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment by upholding Lids Brand Standards.
• Schedule and staff the store including calling in associates during peak periods when the Store Manager is not present.
• Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on store operations and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safeguard inventory and assets.
• Lead selling strategy to achieve KPIs and enhance customer service.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and store cleanliness.
• Open and close the store following Operations P&P Manual.
