Job summary

King Soopers in Commerce City is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily operations, lead teams, and deliver outstanding customer service. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of experience as department manager, service manager, or similar role.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing associates to meet service and operational goals.
• Ability to use KPIs, metrics and data insights to drive decisions.
• Proven collaboration across departments to improve store performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in delivering a positive customer experience and build associate relations.
• Lead teams in planning and executing merchandising and operating initiatives.
• Communicate results and action plans to associates from survey feedback.
• Work with department heads to identify opportunities and implement timely solutions.
• Model exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Support store operations in the manager's absence.
• Contribute to achieving weekly, period and annual sales and budget goals.
• Collaborate with managers to maximize sales, reduce shrink and improve department contribution.
• Participate in budget discussions and expense management with store leadership.
• Monitor competitive landscape and drive merchandising plans.
