Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the direction of the Store Manager, you will supervise employees, assist with merchandise presentation, deposits, and loss prevention while protecting company assets.

This role involves cash register operations, opening/closing the store several days a week, scheduling staff, coaching, safety meetings, and enforcing policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience and supervisory exposure desired.
• Ability to manage daily store operations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash and banking procedures.
• Knowledge of retail safety and loss prevention.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate the cash register to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking and displays.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning and paperwork.
• Support planograms and ensure merchandise is presented as directed.
• Assist with store finance: cashier accountability, deposits, and cash controls.
• Help manage store in Store Manager's absence.
