Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Minimum one year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of labor laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies.
• Provide training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; counsel up to termination.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings.
• Ensure store is staffed and opened/closed each day.
• Open and close the store personally twice weekly at minimum.
• Evaluate operating statements for sales, profitability and turns.
• Review ordering plans and inventory management weekly; monitor stock levels.
• Ensure merchandise is presented per procedures; price and sign correctly.
• Maintain inventory accuracy; manage damages, markdowns and paperwork.
• Maintain cashier accountability and cash control procedures.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized store environment.
