Job summary

Tharp Consulting is seeking a proactive Cashier/Stocker to support daily store operations in Abbeville, SC. You will unload trucks, stock merchandise, assist customers, and handle cash transactions with accuracy while maintaining a clean, organized storefront.

The role includes contributing to displays, rotating stock, and stepping in for leadership in their absence to ensure smooth store functioning.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or cashiering is a plus.
• Ability to lift/move merchandise.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise with rotation and display setup.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise and providing service.
• Operate cash registers, process transactions, and bag items.
• Maintain store cleanliness including dusting, mopping, trash, and restrooms.
• Support store setup activities and sidewalk displays.
• Implement and maintain plan-o-grams and merchandise presentation.
• Assist opening/closing, cash reconciliation, and deposits.
• In the absence of management, authorize refunds and monitor cash/security.
