Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can also act in a lead capacity when the Store Manager is absent. You will assist with plan-o-grams, merchandise presentation, and exceptional customer service to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, operating the register, and maintaining a clean store. Availability for opening/closing and complying with SOPs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle cash accurately.
• Familiarity with plan-o-grams and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate a cash register and POS equipment.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store process.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays.
• Assist customers by locating items.
• Operate cash register and total purchases; bag merchandise.
• Open/close store under Area Manager direction.
• Authorize refunds and overrides in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
