Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day store operations, drive performance, manage schedules, and develop the team through training opportunities. The role emphasizes maintaining efficiency, product quality, and customer service while aligning with company strategies and policies.

The position is full-time at 38 hours per week, with starting wages of $26.00 per hour and a wage increase to $27.00 per hour in Year 2.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their direct reports to ensure mutual understanding and desired results
• Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports to improve performance
• Monitors the competitive environment and informs leadership of necessary adjustments
• Provides product feedback and suggests items to carry or discontinue
• Participates in interviewing store personnel
• Ensures inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies are followed
• Ensures hazards are identified and addressed, and store equipment is maintained
• Maintains store cleanliness and proper signage
• Assists with stock levels and product ordering
• Merchandises products to maximize sales
• Ensures quality and freshness of products and accurate signage
• Supports payroll and loss control budgets and training
• Supervises day-to-day team operations and escalates issues as needed
• Ensures timely completion of tasks and high customer service standards
• Complies with all company policies and data security guidelines
