Job summary

Circle K store in Pittsburgh is hiring for a full-time position. You will deliver friendly, efficient service, greet customers, and offer recommendations to enhance the shopping experience.

You will ring up sales, manage fuel and convenience transactions, and help with merchandising, inventory, and store controls. A high school diploma and 6 months to 1 year of retail experience are preferred; reliable, punctual attendance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year of retail and management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic business and customer service principles.
• Ability to communicate information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coaches store staff to provide excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly and attentive manner.
• Rings up all sales on cash register properly and accurately, handling money, checks, and other types of payment received for product sold.
• Performs multi-function operation of fuel console, lottery machines, money order machine, telecom transactions, etc.
• Resolves or assists to resolve routine customer concerns within established guidelines.
• Reports to work on time and follows the dress and appearance code.
• Maintains awareness of store facility condition and notifies Store Manager of issues; performs housekeeping duties.
• Monitors stock levels, ensures displays are stocked and properly signed; assists with inventory orders.
• Ensures shift sales are completed per policy, entering transactions at purchase with correct pricing; handles payments and cash.
• Keeps accurate cash, sales, payroll and inventory records; transmits daily bookkeeping and gasoline data; completes daily banking.
• Oversees activities of store employees; performs shift supervision and supports Store Manager.
• Maintains a safe environment and reports incidents to Store Manager.
• Prepares periodic sales and operating reports; attends job-related meetings; completes end-of-shift reports.
