Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of store management, provide outstanding customer service, and assist in merchandising and plan‑o‑gram execution. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, and help maintain a clean, organized store while protecting assets.

The role requires basic math, cash handling, and the ability to operate a cash register. Prior supervisory exposure is preferred; the position is full-time at a California store location.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (add/subtract/percent).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Understanding of plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks per store process.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate and face merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipment categories as directed by Store Manager.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; manage front-end area.
