Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a dedicated Cashier/Stocker to lead in absence of store management and to optimize storefront presentation and customer service. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, cashier, and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment, while ensuring loss prevention and operational standards are met.

The role includes handling cash, assisting customers, and upholding plan-o-gram integrity, with opportunities to progress within a fast-paced, team-oriented retail

Qualifications

Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Knowledge of cash handling and deposit procedures.
Ability to operate IBM cash register and related POS functions.
Ability to read and follow plan-o-grams and merchandising guidelines.
Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Unload trucks following store procedures.
Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
Stock, rotate, and face merchandise; build displays.
Restock returned merchandise.
Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
Greet customers and assist in locating merchandise.
Operate register, total purchases, and bag items.
Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
