Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to support daily store operations in a leadership capacity when managers are absent. You will help with plan-o-gram implementation, customer service excellence, and loss prevention.

This role involves unloading trucks, stocking, cashier duties, and ensuring a clean, organized store environment. The ideal candidate has basic math skills, cash handling knowledge, and the ability to operate a cash register.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to operate cash register functions and process transactions.
• Understanding of safety and loss prevention policies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unloading trucks and stocking shelves per store procedures.
• Stock merchandise, rotate and face items, and build displays.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and provide service leadership.
• Maintain cleanliness of store and customer areas; manage checkout area.
• Open/close store under direction of Area Manager.
• Handle refunds/overrides and cashier accountability in absence of store leadership.
