Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate in Kansas to support the Store Manager across operations, staffing, inventory, and merchandising. The role focuses on developing an external candidate for the Store Manager track while the period is limited.

You will assist with recruiting, training, and supervising staff, uphold cash controls, and ensure store standards and safety policies are followed on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience in retail management or supervision is beneficial.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and reporting.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train store staff.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in staffing and supervision of employees.
• Help manage inventory, receiving, stocking and merchandising.
• Assist with in-stock targets and loss prevention.
• Provide excellent customer service leadership at all times.
• Assist in store opening/closing and cash controls.
• Monitor store performance and communicate trends to leadership.
