Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Ohio to support the Store Manager with staff supervision, merchandising, and daily store operations. The role includes cashiering, deposits, and ensuring profitability while protecting assets.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, training team members, executing planograms, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Prior retail and supervisory experience is preferred; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform cash register functions and generate reports.

Responsabilidades

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register to itemize the purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise, including receiving, stocking, and displaying.
• Maintain accurate inventory by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, and paperwork.
• Assist in planogram implementation and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability, refunds, and deposits.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager’s absence.
