Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to lead in the absence of the Store Manager. You will unload trucks, stock merchandise, assist customers, and help maintain a clean, organized store while following company processes.

You will handle cash, operate the register, and ensure accurate pricing and packing. The role focuses on customer service, safety, and loss prevention in a full-time setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Cash handling and deposits knowledge.
• Ability to use IBM cash registers.
• Understanding of cash handling and safety policies.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication.
• Ability to read plan-o-grams and merchandise presentation.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock shelves.
• Follow processes to receive, open and unpack cartons.
• Restock and rotate merchandise on shelves.
• Assist customers in locating items.
• Maintain register area and assist with plan-o-grams.
• Operate cash register and process payments.
• Greet customers and provide service leadership.
