Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a dedicatedCashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of the store manager. You will greet customers, manage registers, stock shelves, maintain plan-o-grams, and ensure a clean, safe store environment.

You will also help with ordering, displays, and loss prevention while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires basic math, cash handling, and knowledge of store processes.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and follow store processes for receiving and opening cartons.
• Stock merchandise and build or rotate displays.
• Restock returned merchandise and follow ordering practices as assigned by Store Manager.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and provide superior service.
• Maintain front-end cleanliness and register area; manage refunds and overrides when needed.
