Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of store management. You will greet customers, operate the register, stock shelves, and help maintain plan-o-grams to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will also assist in inventory tasks, unload trucks, keep a clean store, and provide exceptional service while protecting assets and reducing losses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise according to store processes.
• Stock merchandise, rotate displays, and build merchandise displays.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate cash register, process payments, and bag purchases.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; support in opening/closing per direction.
