Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of store management. Duties include stocking, plan-o-grams, merchandising, and providing exemplary customer service while protecting assets.

You will unload trucks, stock, ring up purchases, assist customers, and help keep the store clean and safe. Prior supervisory exposure and high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience using IBM cash registers.
• Familiarity with cash handling, deposits, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock shelves following store procedures.
• Operate cash register and handle payments.
• Maintain clean, organized store and assist customers.
• Open/close the store under direction.
• Provide excellent customer service leadership.
• Protect assets and reduce losses.
