Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can step into a leadership role in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. You will assist in plan-o-gram setup, stock merchandise, provide exceptional customer service, and help protect company assets while driving profitability.

The role includes unloading trucks, stocking, processing shipments, and operating the register with accuracy. Prior supervisory exposure is preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and follow prescribed receiving processes.
• Stock, rotate, face merchandise, and build displays.
• Restock returned merchandise and manage zone orders.
• Explain plan-o-gram requirements and assist with implementation.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers in locating items.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, and handle payments.
• Maintain store cleanliness, cashwrap area, and safety practices.
