Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is looking for a Lead Sales Associate to help run daily store operations with a customer-first focus in our community store. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and uphold store appearance to maximize profitability and satisfaction.

In this role you will act in a lead capacity when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is absent, help open/close the store, and perform duties to ensure smooth checkout and efficient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom; support sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager guidance.
• Perform duties of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
